This BBC News article was spotted by Neil Bird. It would appear that some supposed smart phones (the Nokia 6600, SonyEricsson P900 and the Samsung i600 ar quoted in the article) are just a bit too complex for the average Joe to use.
Hopefully with new improvements (especially stuff like the installed “Help” function on the new SPV e200 handsets) and sites like this, we can eliminate these frustrations.
I think it was the Orange CEO who said something like “We have to make technology easily accessible, so the user can pick up the phone and use it in minutes”. I believe the MS smartphone can do that, as it’s familiar already (Windows).
