HTC, the guys behind the SPV and QTEK handsets, are quoted in in this Digitimes.com article as saying that the Smartphone handset market will triple during 2004.
As the first widespread Microsoft Smartphone handset manufacturer, they’re definitely worth listening to. HT Cho, president of High Tech Computer (HTC), said at their annual dinner last night that the company will also launch twice to three times as many as new Smartphone and PDA models this year compared with last year. Although it is not clear at present whether they are all to be based on the Windows Mobile platform, they did say that a built-in digital camera will be standard in the new models.
