It’s not a Windows Mobile handset, but it’s well worth mentioning this story. There’s a mixed message today from various news sites about the Motorola iTunes handset – the ROKR. Whilst some stories say that it’s “storming the sales charts“, many other news sites quote an Michael Walkley – an analyst for Piper Jaffray. He confirms the initial sales surge, however there’s disappointment at the “normal” appearance of the handset and the 100 song limitation imposed by Apple.
“Our checks indicated mixed to negative reviews of the much-anticipated Rokr phone, with some stores indicating strong early sales but more indicating disappointment in the product”, said Michael.
