MoDaCo mentioned this Eye On Call (PhoneSharp) software today so I decided to give it a bash. The software is delivered as a Zip file so you have to copy the contents across to your phone. When you initially run it you’ll need to start “Loader.exe” and then “PhoneSharpen.exe” using File Manager. It doesn’t create its’ own menu shortcut, so if you’re feeling adventurous give it one by following these instructions. However, when it’s free you can’t really moan too much.
The software lets you create contact groups (very useful) and assign a special action to each person / number or group. You can have a special ringtone, skin, phone or custom action like “auto answer for this person”. Check out my full testing below… After downloading the software and un-zipping it on my PC I have copied all the files across to a folder I’ve called “eyeoncall” in “/Storage Card/Program Files”. Unfortunately I’ve had to open File Manager to run “loader.exe” (I presume this starts the process which runs in the background to monitor calls) and then “PhoneSharpEN.exe”..
Don’t forget that you can create a shortcut on your menu so that you can get this loaded up easier by following my instructions here (near the bottom).

I’ve decided to edit / create a rule as I know my boss will be calling me and I’ve had to go into a very important meeting (I’ve smudged the full number out)…
The navigation is a tad tricky on the following page – I found myself holding “down” to scroll all the way to the bottom before it would start moving down the boxes on the Smartphone version.
There we go ! All done. I’ve now slammed the phone down AND sent a nice message as to why. All for free.. well, apart from the text message… Not bad at all. 🙂
