Sky TV begin streaming trials with MediaFLO

TV giants Sky are to trial the MediaFLO Technology from Qualcomm. They’re going to be testing the FLOTM technology, which is a wireless multicasting technology allowing delivery of video services to mobile devices in the United Kingdom. This, along with the “FLO” Technology which increases capacity and coverage and lowers the cost, will be evaluated. Put simply it means that Sky can deliver large amounts of high-quality streams or clips to handsets.
