I’ve been watching news of the i-Mate JAQ handset surface over the last few days. The device isn’t built buy HTC (like the SPV’s on Orange, MDA’s on T-Mobile etc), rather by a company called Inventec. This device got approved by the FCC back in February – you can see the file here.
Sure it may look bland, even the real photos from the FCC documentation (here and here) aren’t exactly thrilling, however the FCC docs and manual does mention GPS and WiFi, so perhaps we’ll have to wait and see what it has to offer.
