Cingular 8525 Announced

The Cingular 8525 has been officially announced today. It’s to become the first UMTS/HSPDA-enabled Pocket PC phone in the USA and will operate on Cingulars’ BroadbandConnect network giving average download speeds between 400-700Kbps. Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, you may already have seen this as the Orange SPV M3100 or T-Mobile MDA II here in Europe.


The Cingular 8525 is ideal for the mobile worker or plus it offers video clips courtesy of MobiTV. The Cingular 8525 also comes equipped with a 2-megapixel digital camera and video recorder for sharper photos and video. It will be available exclusively from Cingular for as low as $399.99 from November 16th. There will also be a non-camera version called the Cingular 8500.
