A new version of Mobile Manager has been released by synchronica.com. Version 1.3 brings support for a wider range of handsets and additional management functions to support the latest AKU updates in Windows Mobile 5.0.
Mobile Manager is aimed at businesses and will let you configure, manage and secure employees’ smartphones and PDA’s over the air (OTA). There’s an easy to use graphical user interface with a step-by-step wizard enabling administrators of all levels to manage a fleet of devices without intensive training. This software will let you set WiFi settings, remove specified email accounts or web favourites from a device or group of devices, retrieve contact lists and extend the list of emergency numbers that can be called if the device is locked – to include a corporate help desk number for example. Administrators can also remotely check whether a device has received a software update file and schedule OTA software updates to minimise disruption.
