I’ve just been watching this video comparing an o2 XDA Orbit with the new iPhone from Apple. Whilst the Windows Mobile handset effectively beats the iPhone on features, it worries me that many of the Windows Mobile programs shown aren’t part of the original handset. For example, the iPhone will (we presume) come with the mapping feature, the weather app, the movie player and widgets etc. With Windows Mobile however you’ll be downloading CorePlayer, Google Maps, Fizz Traveller and other applications to compete.
Sure, it’s all part of making your device feel and look how you want, but I still feel that there could be more applications installed in the box to make Windows Mobile stand out even further.
