Back at the start of February we sniffed out news that the HTC Vox would appear as the E650 on Orange. It’s since popped up in a few places but now we’re hearing more from Orange Customer Service staff here in the UK. Simon Roberts sent us a mail..
“I asked Orange UK about the release of C700 as my contract was up…”
Ah, now unfortunately the C700 isn’t coming to Orange UK as we know, however Orange did dish up some juicy details about the E650 when they mailed him back…
“The next SPV handset to be released will be the SPV E650. Launch is expected during April 2007, although this is subject to change. The Orange SPV E650 is a compact messaging phone with an auto sliding QWERTY keyboard. It is the first smartphone from Orange powered by the new Windows Mobile 6 Standard platform. This new platform provides genuine mobile Office Outlook experience, greater control of Outlook Mobile Calendar, better Internet Explorer Mobile browsing experience and Windows Live. Key Features include Windows Mobile 6, 2.4″ 65k colour TFT LCD display, quad band, QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 2 MegaPixel camera and MicroSD Memory Card Slot.”
Excellent news 🙂
