T-Mobile USA have launched the T-Mobile Wing and it’s now available to buy in their online shop. Available for $299.99 after rebates and discounts this is a Windows Mobile 6 (Pro) device with spring-out QWERTY keyboard like the P4350 we reviewed a short while back.
The Wing has a 2 Megapixel camera and has quad-band GPRS and EDGE connectivity plus WiFi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth and a Micro SD memory slot. Powered by a TI OMAP 850 processor it also has instant messaging capabilities via Yahoo!, MSN and AOL plus it’s being promoted alongside the T-Mobile USA “myFaves” plan which allows unlimited calling to five people across all networks.
Interestingly T-Mobile still call this a “Smartphone” in all their documentation and their press release. It seems the term “Smartphone” will remain linked with Windows Mobile for quite a while yet.
