Given our name, you’d forgive us for getting more than a little happy when an actual Smartphone (Windows Mobile Standard) appears. Y’know, one without a touch-screen and an actual keypad on the front. Meet the HTC Iris, aka the S640. On the front of this puppy is a full QWERTY keyboard with a 320×240 pixel screen above. There’s a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, MicroSD and a 400Mhz CPU powering it all along.
It’s a CDMA CDMA850/CDMA1900 phone with EVDO, so don’t expect to see it here in Europe anytime soon. gpsOne is also included, which will plot your position using GPS satellite signals and the mobile phone transmitters.
