Remember that Samsung SGH-i640v Vodafone sneaked out in their Christmas line-up? Well, it turns out that it’s more than just a SGH-i620v with a paint-job. The i640, shown below in a YouTube video from DinarSoft, gets GSM 900/1800/1900 GPRS, EDGE, 3G and HSPDA. The extra bonus though has to be the addition of WiFi and GPS.
The i640 also gets a 2 megapixel camera, a full sliding QWERTY keyboard, trackwheel navigation, Bluetooth 2.0, MicroSD and the Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard OS.
I’ll confess that the navigation system does indeed look very interesting and works very well with the trackwheel. Wait a minute.. isn’t that exactly the same interface we saw on the Palm 500v just a few days ago? Indeed it is. Hmm.. seems like Vodafone are keen to implement more than just a custom home screen. This is a full-on Vodafone control system!
