Dave Griffiths and Tom Weeks have emailed in with more information on the excellent Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. Arne at TheUnwired.net has posted this tasty video of what to expect. There’s fluid animation, a souped-up home screen and an album interface in this prototype.
Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 (Pro) the curvy handset packs a speed Qualcomm 7200A CPU running at 520Mhz, a sliding QWERTY keyboard and quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE with triband 3G(UMTS)/HSDPA/HSUPA. Wireless (802.11b/g), GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and 128Mb RAM / 512Mb ROM is included, as is a microSD slot. If those specs haven’t already got you drooling, then the 800×480 wVGA screen and 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera (plus VGA camera up-front for video calls) certainly will.
