Samsung appear to have give a lick of paint to their excellent Omnia handset. It’s now popped up on cnet.com sporting a pearly white finish on the back.
The Omnia i900 is a 16Gb handset which uses a 624Mhz Marvell CPU and comes with a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera. There’s also a 1440mAh battery, FM radio with RDS, WiFi, Bluetooth A2SP, microSDHC slot, orientation sensor, GPS and geo-tagging, TV output and Windows Mobile 6.1 with a Samsung GUI called “TouchWiz”. It’ll give you triband (900/1800/1900GSM) 3G/HSDPA (7.2Mbps) connectivity too.
According to the original press release this was due to arrive in Europe last month and the 8Gb version has started appearing in some online shops, however we’ve not heard anything about a network release. Come on Samsung, gimme gimme! 🙂
