Dell recently showed off their own Smartphone, although Dell staff were pointing out that this unit was a “proof of concept”. It’s true, they are dev eloping devices for China Mobile, but they’re not named or pictured as yet. Dell are rumoured to be building a handset running OMS (Open Mobile System) – this is a system that uses Android as the building blocks for a phone.
The device shown has a 3 megapixel cam, microSD slot, Bluetooth and 360×640 pixel screen. If nothing else it shows that Dell are getting in on the act and they seem to be starting off with the Android OS.
