Opera Mobile is already part of some new Windows Mobile devices from HTC, but if you would like to try Opera Mini – the free Java variant – then click onto m.opera.com/next to get the beta of Opera Mini 5. There’s tabbed browsing, speed dial and password manager in this new version and it’ll run on both touch and none-touch phones.
Opera Mini will squish web pages down by up to 90% before sending them to your phone, so you get speed and lower data usage. Scrolling is also speedy, and the user interface is both friendly and powerful at the same time.
