If you’ve followed the Nexus One story then you’ll know about the launch, the subsequent 3G problems and then the support offered by HTC. Now T-Mobile USA are telling their support staff how to handle Nexus One complaints. The first line of defence appears to be “not (to) transfer customers to HTC”, as this particular case isn’t currently fixable by HTC. There’s also that old IT trick – turn it off and turn it back on again.
From what we understand the Nexus One seems to be a bit fussy about the 3G connection and wants to continually switch around between HSDPA and UMTS. This will no doubt affect the battery life and owners will no doubt be hoping of a permanent fix soon.
