To be honest, I shouldn’t really be sat here in the media centre of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona – I need to grab a taxi to the airport as soon as possible, However, I wanted to give you a better look at the Acer devices we looked at the other day. We went back to the hospitality suite this morning and had a play with the devices.
First, their Windows Mobile range. This is the neoTouch P300. It runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and has a Qualcomm 528Mhz chip. A 3.2 megapixel is at the back and there’s a very nice 4-row QWERTY keyboard that slides out from underneath. Acer have added their “Spinlets” application for sharing and listening to streaming media. You get Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and Blogger connectivity plus there’s aGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 3.2″ WQVGA screen and a standard 3.5mm audio port.
This should be available in March and you can get more up-close shots in our gallery.
