This is the Huawei S7. It’s got a 7″ WVGA 800×480 screen, WiFi and 3G connectivity (through a standard SIM card slot). Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU ARM A8 768MHz it’s got a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm audio jack and 256MB of RAM. Best of all, this is powered by Android 2.1 and, like the aPad we spotted a couple of weeks back, it’ll let you do most of the iPad things without the price-tag.
Now, we’re hearing on the grapevine that the aPad will be upgraded to Android 2.1 in the next couple of weeks too, so this Android Tablet thing definitely shows promise. Perhaps HTC should get involved?
Expansys are selling this one exclusively and this plus point is that you can stick a SIM card in and browse anywhere – the aPad we saw earlier didn’t have that functionality. We’re currently bombarding Expansys with flowers and other random gifts in a vein attempt to get a review unit. You can bag one for £299.99.
