We ran a story recently detailing the possible changes to Android in the new Gingerbread version. It was based on several strong leaks and detailed the end of custom UI’s, minimum hardware specs and much more. These have now been cast into doubt as Dan Morrill, Open Source and Compatibility Tech Lead for Android, stated that ..
“I love it when people just make stuff up and report it as news.”
He links to the original unwiredview article and also says that, “You shouldn’t believe everything you read” plus “I can make up crap too”. So, perhaps this isn’t the end of the HTC Sense UI after all? We’ll wait to see what the official specs bring.
