Remember how the HTC Desire had an update on Vodafone? Remember how everyone thought it was the 2.2 update when in fact it was another 2.1 update with lots of extra apps no-one wanted? Remember how Vodafone then back-tracked and released a 2.2 update without those extra apps?
Wouldn’t it be just insane to make that whole mistake all over again for Samsung Galaxy S owners on Vodafone? Yup, that’s exactly what seems to be happening, with customers receiving “Firmware 2.1, Update 1” complete with lots of extra apps they really don’t want (360 Apps, Vodafone 360 Shop, trial games etc etc).
Vodafone are now telling customers that a 2.2 update will be arriving “in the next three days” and we’re hoping that Vodafone will again remove the extra apps.
