Upcoming Windows Phone 7 devices are appearing in leaked photos on the web more regularly now. Yesterday the HTC 7 Trophy got snapped and now this, which we presume is a different handset, is purported to be the “HD3”.
On the bottom there’s a microUSB connector and 3.5mm audio port. On the side is a camera button and volume control, whilst around the back the camera surround doubles as a stand to help the phone stand up. Up front there seems to be a lack of HTC Sense stuff but this could just be an early ROM. The mobile01.com post shows a 4.3″ screen, 800×480 pixel WVGA screen and a full metal frame. It’s also rumoured that HD3 may not be the final name, and it may launch as the “HD7” but we’ll have to wait and see.
Further specs have now leaked out measuring the device at 122x68x11.2mm with 512MB ROM and 8GB memory on a non-removable microSD card plus 576MB RAM. There’s further news on the screen, which is a multi-touch capacitive unit, and confirmation of the 1GHz CPU. It also comes with 3G / HSDPA / HSUPA connectivity, WiFi, GPS, compass, g-sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor and a 2-step camera button. The camera is 5 megapixel auto-focus with an LED flash and the whole thing is powered by a 1230mAh battery.
Details within the specs also show a range of “HTC Widgets” including a Bedside clock widget, converter widget, note widget, stocks widget, voice recorder widget and of course a weather widget. There’s a whole lot more too.
