CNET have picked up on the fact Windows Phone 7 will not have tethering support and there is no idea if they will ever include this service into the new OS.
CNET have posted:
A Microsoft official recently suggested that it would be up to cellular carriers whether to allow so-called “tethering,” but Microsoft confirmed to CNET on Friday that Windows Phone 7 doesn’t support the feature at all. Microsoft won’t say if future versions might allow for tethering.
Considering you can tether on Android, iOS, Symbian…. even a BlackBerry with its out of date looking OS5 can tether to allow you to use your phone as a modem.
Fingers crossed this is included in a future update (and SOON!)
