Another handset to appear in this months’ catalogues is the HTC Wildfire, which is now just £140 on Vodafone with a £10 Vodafone Freedom Pack, with £50 worth of calls and text to UK mobiles and landlines. There’s 250MB of free data usage every month in there too, so it’s a pretty good deal if you’re looking to get an Android device for less money.
The Wildfire, which we reviewed some months back, has a 528MHz CPU, microSD memory expansion, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, digital compass, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1, G-sensor, proximity sensor and a 1300mAh battery. The 240×320 QVGA screen may be a problem for some, but we found it to be a great all-rounder.
