Stats from number-crunchers Nielson show a rather huge jump in Android Smartphone OS share. It now has 22.7% share against Windows Mobile, which was around 19% at the start of this year but – according to these October details – has a 14% share now. We should of course point out that these details were calculated before the Windows Phone 7 launch and it’ll be interesting to see what happens going forwards.
iPhone market share remains pretty much unchanged and, as you can see from the pie-chart on the left, almost 30% the market is made up of smartphones.
