UK mobile network Virgin Media have revealed their new handset range. It includes their first ever Windows Phone 7 device – the Samsung Omnia 7. It’ll be available next month on a £35 plan with unlimited texts, 1000 minutes and 1GB of mobile web per month. The Omnia 7 has a 4″ AMOLED screen, 1GHz CPU, WiFi, GPS and 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording.
Also in the line-up is Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 – an Android-powered device with a 3″ 320×480 pixel screen, WiFi, GPS, microSD expansion, FM radio and 3 megapixel camera. It’s exclusive to Virgin in red and black from January and is free for just £10 per month. This plan gets you 50 minutes, 250 texts and 500MB of mobile web browsing.
Virgin Media are adding the HTC Desire HD too – this packs a 1GHz CPU, 3.7″ 480 X 800 WVGA screen, 8 megapixel auto-focus camera (with LED flash and 720p HD video recording), GPS, WiFi etc. This will be available free for £35 with unlimited texts, 1000 minutes and 1 GB mobile web from Boxing Day.
