Here in Europe you have a GSM phone and, well, you’re set. In the US though two major networks – Verizon and Sprint – use CDMA. Today a CDMA-compatible iPhone has been announced by Apple and our US readers can start pre-ordering it on February 3rd online.
The iPhone 4, which packs a 5 megapixel camera, HD video recording, WiFi, GPS and a huge library of apps, will be available from February 10th in Verizon Wireless stores. Expect to pay $199.99 for the 16GB model and $299.99 for the 32GB version on 2 year contracts.
