Shopping on your mobile seems to be a growing trend. Tesco have an (iPhone) app, eBay has an (unofficial) app and Google have their “Shopper” app. Amazon though have now released their own official Android application which adds barcode scanning and 1-click ordering for fast and secure online shopping.
The new app also gives you access into Marketplace sellers, reviews, your Wish List, recommendations and it’ll even show your where your parcel is with the tracking feature. Greg Greeley, Vice President EU Retail at Amazon, stated…
“Customers in the UK have been requesting an Amazon shopping application on their Android devices and we are thrilled to bring them the Amazon App for Android. In addition to accessing their favourite Amazon shopping features such as 1-Click®, Amazon Prime and customer reviews, customers can use the new barcode scanning tool to read the barcode on great gift ideas and everyday items and instantly match them to products available at Amazon.co.uk.”
Hit the Android Market direct to download it or browse to www.amazon.co.uk/androidapp for more information.

What do you mean ebay has an unoffical app? the ebay app is official!
I was just going to post the same http://www.appbrain.com/app/official-ebay-android-app/com.ebay.mobile – its even called “Official eBay Android App” 🙂
I cannot see myself using these apps because I never just go to the one store. I always shop around when buying online. I do use the eBay one though. There are Official and Unofficial Apps, both very good.
