We took a tour around the Huawei stand today and got to handle some of their new devices. One which hasn’t had much coverage is this little puppy – it’s called the U8300 but it’ll probably get rebranded and sold as network-own devices. The U8300 is a cute device which targets the mass-market texting / social market. Those keys – so I’m told – are actually bigger than the keys you’ll find on a Blackberry. Inside there’s Android 2.1 (I know), a 2.6″ QVGA touch screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, G-Sensot, compass and all the usual Google stuff. It comes with 3G / HSDPA connectivity and WiFi.
This isn’t a new handset and the specs aren’t going to set the world alight but it’s a nice design and we wouldn’t be too surprised if this got re-badged and sold as a Pay As You Go handset.
