Earlier this week Google released a new version of their Google Mobile App for iOS. The newly dubbed Google Search App has a new UI which in my opinion makes it nicer to use than Google Search on Android.
The default view gives you a text search box and icons for voice search and Google Goggles search.
Results are displayed exactly as you’d expect. However a quick swipe to the left brings up a list of search filters to narrow your search to exactly the type of content you want.
As iOS doesn’t have the same level of Google integration as Android there’s also quick access to various Google web apps directly from within the app.
Overall, it’s nothing revolutionary but it’s definitely a nice implementation of search and I’m wondering why Google haven’t done something similar for Android.
Because Google always different compared to others..
