Windows Phone 7 devices now appear to be getting the first “proper” update from Microsoft. Sources state that the first few handsets have begun updates and, during the next few weeks, the roll-out will continue onto other handsets.
You’ll be notified of your update on the handset itself when you’ll need to connect the phone to your computer to get the download.
Currently it seems that only unbranded / network free devices are being updated and there’s rumours that the “NoDo” update may not arrive on network-provided devices until April.
The update will include several enhancements, performance improvements and the long-awaited copy and paste functionality.
Update – There’s now a Microsoft schedule telling you when your update should arrive. This goes alongside the American schedule. All we can say at present is that the update is in “Testing” for the UK.
