SPB Wallet has been around for many years now. It initially appeared on Windows Mobile devices years ago and more recently appeared on ios. It has been eagerly anticipated as many people used it on Windows Mobile and moved to Android only to find they could not use it any more. The idea behind it, is to securely store all of your various passwords, login details, passport details, secret contacts, bank account details, reservation details, insurance details and even credit card details. This may sound a little risky at first, but to address this everything it stores is heavily encrypted plus you can also set the app to close itself down if unused. Here are some screenshots to give you an idea of what it can do.
So this app will remember all sorts of personal information for you, saving you having to carry round different credit cards and best of all remembering hundreds of different website passwords. Inputting all of this information could be quite a chore depending on how many passwords or credit cards you have. There is a desktop version available for trial also that will sync with the mobile version, which will make inputting data easier. You can also backup the wallet file to your gmail account as the app has gmail sync built in.
The app also has a password generator, this will create random passwords for you to use wherever you want. These can vary in strength and length and once created you can copy and paste it into a new wallet entry.
At first this app will seem daunting because of the sheer amount of setting up it needs, but once you have this app up and running and synchronised to your gmail or your computer then it is great. The other good thing is that the app is currently on sale at £2.15 which the market says is a “Launch Sale – 50% off!”, which is a lot cheaper than previous offerings from SPB.
