MacRumors.com recently found something rather interesting while searching for an iTunes update. Above is their screenshot of a section of the iTunes updates page, where a potential new feature of iOS5 was revealed. The final sentence suggests that devices running iOS5 will have the ability to wirelessly download app updates or music (and other media) without having to sync with iTunes each time. The page has since been removed from iTunes. This lines up well with Apple’s new iCloud service, and will be a pretty useful feature; how annoying it is to have to physically connect your device to iTunes in order to sync anything.
Sure, other operating systems had OTA updates long before this you might say, but as usual Apple have probably been holding this off for a while.
Depends on what updates you like to be done OTA without you knowning ???
i would love to see you write about Motorola boss blames Android Market’s openness for poor app quality
just a thought..
