This morning Huawei announced plans for their new 7″ Android tablet , the Mediapad, running Android 3.2 that is apparently designed for 7″ tablets.
Huawei marketing chief Victor Xu stated that Android 3.0 and 3.1 are not specifically designed to work on 7″ tablets, but 3.2 is. It will come with various pre-loaded apps including Facebook, Twitter and Documents to Go. Flash 10.3 is there as well.
The tablet itself features a useful specification including:
- 1.2Ghz dual core Snapdragon Cpu.
- 1080p HD output.
- 5MP rear Camera , 1.3Mp front.
- 217 Pixels per inch display.
- IPS display.
- 390g Weight.
- 4100mAh Battery.
- 8Gb internal storage with option of additional Micro SD.
Does look very nice indeed, appearing to tick all the right boxes.
Oddly they are not mentioning a Wifi only model, preferring to concentrate on carrier distribution.
They stated selected markets from Q3, no prices were mentioned.
