We have just been sent a link via email which confirms that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray will be going on sale in August.
The following was posted on the website SOMobile
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray will be heading to Blighty in August, the Carphone Warehouse has confirmed.
The handset has been added to the retailer’s Coming Soon page, sporting a promised “August” release date. However, there’s still no word on the handset’s pricing, although you head over to the Carphone Warehouse now to register your interest.
Announced at CommunicAsia in Singapore, the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray looks like a 2011 redesign of the Xperia X10. It comes rocking a 3.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, coupled with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and Sony Ericsson’s TimeScape UI. This means it’ll come with Facebook Inside Xperia support, equipping the smartphone with advanced social networking smarts.
You’ll also find a 1GHz processor under the hood, an 8.1 megapixel Exmor R snapper, 720p HD video, a front-facing videocall camera, integrated GPS, a video-on-demand service and all the usual connectivity options (HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth).
Once release, the Xperia Ray will also be available through Three UK – which promptly confirmed its support for the handset. All-you-can-eat data, here we come
