Although it’s still showing as “Coming Soon” on the Orange site, we’re now hearing that the HTC Sensation is available from the network. Steve Taylor has just let us know that he was offered the handset from their direct sales team during a call today.
The handset, which we reviewed earlier, features a 4.3″ capacitive screen with qHD (540×960) resolution, 8 megapixel camera (with HD video recording, auto-focus and a second video-call camera), aGPS, WiFi, FM radio, Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA, SRS surround sound, G-sensor and gyro sensor. It’s powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU and has 1GB or internal storage with 768MB RAM and a microSD card slot.
Let us know if you’ve just picked one up, or give our review a read.

Just had a call myself, and decided to go for it. I’m not a heavy user, but been with orange for ages. ended up with 18month contract, 200 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data for £20 per month, though had to pay £73 for the phone.
was tempted by a contract with talk mobile: 400 mins, 1000 texts, 1gb data for £30 per month and the phone at £99 BUT its only a 12 month contract.
decided against it as never heard of talk mobile, and not sure of what their customer service (if any) would be like should it go pear shaped.
I’ve been “negotiating” with O business for a week now, they contacted me also. They rang on Wednesday to say it was now available…..for £300 + VAT!!! so I suggested they reconsider and quoted a few deals for them to try and match, or at least get somewhere near.
Meanwhile Premier telesales (presumably knowing I’m now out of contract) called me offering free Sensation with 1250 x-net and 2000 on-net minutes, 150 txts + extra 1000 txts/mth free for 12 months (£4.26/mth after) + 2Gb data, + unlimited push-email, all for £29.79 +VAT. Not a bad deal but I would never use anywhere near that much of anything. The main drawback is that its on 3 network, and I had bad experiences with them in the past. But looking at the AYCE story maybe they aren’t so bad now.
Phone arrived yesterday, WOW, best HTC yet. Who needs Ap**e!!!!!!
Good to hear mate!
