Following quickly on the heels of Beta 3, Apple have now released iOS 5 Beta 4 into the wild.
For the first time, the beta takes the form of an OTA update, removing the need to faff about with iTunes. It’s not the biggest update but for some reason it downloaded 80% extremely quickly and seemed to hand for a while on the last 20%. That said it was a fairly painless update and it’s good to see Apple moving away from the 700MB+ downloads of old.
There are no major new feature releases but improved stability and performance is nothing to be sniffed at if my experience with the earlier betas is anything to go by.
Grab it now from your settings screen.
