During the night the Cyanogenmod team have posted an update for the HP TouchPad. This takes the ROM to Alpha 3 now. By the sounds of it they have fixed most of the problems to do with standby and wifi. Hopefully this will give them a nice solid to start building the Ice Cream Sandwich port for the TouchPad. Here is the changelog for the ROM.

I have yet to install this. Mainly as I have seventeen minutes in which to finish typing this. No doubt flashing the new ROM will break everything and I will have to totally start webOS and Android from scratch, so it’s definitely a weekend thing. So far I am certainly impressed with the work these guys have been doing on the TouchPad. But I now view my TouchPad as a means to make some money to put towards new things. I guess the TouchPad will one day be an amazing device, but at the moment there are too many issues with it. I basically use it for games and not much else.
So who here still has a TouchPad? How has your flashing experience gone so far? Are you still running webOS as your sole OS? Do you really not care about the TouchPad any more?

I have not done A1 or A2 but A3 I will do over the weekend I love the TouchPad I have two keeping both
want android on the touchpad, especially since youtube flash stopped working on webOS today. Just do not look forward to the glitches.
A3 went over A2 using recovery > install from zip ,worked fine, kept settings.
I use both WebOS and android on mine, just can’t decide between the two. If WebOS made use of the dead desktop space with live widgets and had more apps I would stick to it. For Android 8’m on A2 and it’s pretty damn good!! Really want ICS on it though!
Like WebOS. Really want Android so I can really love it. Having both is also really nice.
Flashed to A3 last weekend no issues. Took some getting use to but I find the A3 to be the better of the two OS due to the larger number of application available. Also, with Dolphin Browser HD loaded on A3 I can do all sites that I could do on my desktop. The WebOS browser did not behave well on all sites forcing me to boot my laptop to use some of them.
Really like my Touchpad, but holding out for at least a Beta version of ICS though as I quite like WebOS so I’m happy to be patient
I Install the alpha 3 this evening and its running great installed snes emulator and linked my wiimote with my touchpad and played a lil ol’ school mario kart, apps install great detected my WPA2 network fine no conectivity issues still so used to how easy webos interface is compared to android but ill clump my way around and learn.
