In what is fast becoming a strange game show, communications giant BT have become the next contestant to start legal proceedings against Google and the Android OS.
Six patents are at the heart of the lawsuit, relating to Google+, eBooks, Docs, GMail and even the Doubleclick and AdWords advertising technology. Android is apparently using BT patents which allow music downloads over WiFi but pausing when switching to 3G.
Google intend to fight the lawsuit, saying…
We believe these claims are without merit, and we will defend vigorously against them.
This is yet another lawsuit with Android in the firing line.
