LG have updated their official site with some details of the Optimus 2, albeit with no indication of release date yet. Looking at the 3.2″ capacitive screen, 3.2MP camera and 800MHz CPU, I reckon it’s a good contender for my mum’s new phone! Let’s hope the pricing reflects the spec; it can’t compete with some of today’s monster dual and quad core chips but it’s certainly good enough to run Gingerbread based on what we’ve seen on other devices. It looks like a nice, clean design and the buttons at the bottom look a bit tidier than the Optimus One’s.
