Some months ago we got our first real look at the HTC Explorer. It was known as the HTC Pico and is available on Three, Vodafone and direct. Today we’ve got our hands on one and will be doing a review over the next week or two. This phone is aimed at being less imposing for new users and HTC call it the “simply smarter phone”. Indeed, it has a certain “cuteness” to it with a 320×480 pixel 3.2″ touch screen and some of the specs you expect to see on more advanced – and expensive – handsets.
Sure, it doesn’t have everything, but then again this isn’t aimed at the tech-savvy spec-heads. The 600MHz CPU performs well, there’s a 3 megapixel camera, WiFI, Bluetooth 3.0, FM radio, G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor, light sensor and Android powering the show.
All the menus and functions are accessible in one touch, there’s the HTC Sense experience and the slightly lower resolution screen makes things clearer and bigger for new users to grasp.
