The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 only got announced literally minutes ago, so we thought it best to go and get a hands-on with the device. The lovely Samsung lady gave us a great demo of the device, which has a WXGA (1280×800) PLS TFT screen, dual-core 1.4GHz CPU, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, WiFi, 3 megapixel rear cam, 2 megapixel front cam, Android 4.0 and the S Pen, which receives a skillful demo below.
It was all going so well until we got dragged away for taking photos “too close”, but luckily we managed to remove the SD card with the photos. This, though, is a pretty serious point. I’ve just seen a guy wearing a “Sony” lanyard getting a good chatting to by Samsung Security after writing down notes and snapping pictures close-up, and with so many competing companies in such a small(ish) space, it’s no wonder that they’re protective of the new devices.

looks very impressive. Were you told anything about how the pen handles documents? I was thinking highlighting PDFs, etc… Would be really useful on the academic front.
