We thought initially that Android 4.0 would be arriving as part of an update, but LG have this running Ice Cream Sandwich on the stand and they tell me it’ll hit the shops with ICS too. The Max features a 1.2GHz CPU with “tri-dual technology” (dual core, channel and memory) for better performance. It has a super-bright 4.3″ WVGA 3D display and has now slimmed down to just 9.6mm – a significant waist reduction from the earlier Optimus 3D. That screen should also now be easier to look at, with a wider viewing angle designed to stop that slightly “sick” feeling when using the 3D playback for a longer period.
You get dual 5-megapixel cameras, NFC, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, 16GB of storage plus microSD expansion. Here we get a great hands-on video from the LG staff.
Update – Unfortunately we’re hearing from LG that, as it stands, the Optimus 3D Max is not destined for the UK.
