At the LG stand we hung around the L-Style devices today. We had a quick look yesterday but wanted to get some additional details for you. The baby of the pack is this, the L3. LG still aren’t revealing too much about specs so we bribed the staff with chewing gum. It worked, and we can now reveal that the L3 runs on an 800MHz processor and is designed for people “who don’t realise they want a smartphone”. With this aimed squarely at the entry-level market you get a 3 megapixel camera with ..fixed.. focus. The screen is a QVGA 240×320.
It runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and there’s no way in hell that it’ll receive Android ICS (4.0 / Ice Cream Sandwich). It’s capable of HSDPA 3/6Mbps speeds and we spotted WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth in there too.
We gave it the photo treatment and did a quick hands-on for you. LG tell us that it has “long life” battery and is definitely a very compact little thing. If nothing else, we liked the back of it.. 🙂
