You probably know the score. You decide you want an Android tablet. You get it home, after the initial setup you hit the market. Then you stop dead. How on earth are you meant to tell which apps are tablet optimised?
Tabletified Market is how. Once installed you get a nice front end to the normal Android Market. Which only shows tablet optimised apps.
I find it a lot easier to flick through the apps in there than to take pot luck with the normal market.
The only slight problem with this app is that it will only appear in the market if your device is a 10″ tablet. The 7″ tablets still seem to miss out on various apps. Damn annoying really. But Google know best so 7″ tablet owners just don’t count. By the way I have got the apk for this and it does work on a 7″ tablet. Just give me a shout if you want it.
Here is how they describe their own app in the play store “Tablified is the largest and most trusted database of Android tablet apps and games. Easily discover apps and games designed specifically for your Android tablet without having to search around the Android Market for yourself. We find ‘Tablified’ apps so you don’t have to!”
There are two versions of the app available Pro and Lite. I got the Pro version which doesn’t contain adverts and helps to support the development of such a useful tool. It really shows what the Android Market Play Store should be like. Maybe one day.
