So, we’ve had a few dates regarding the Galaxy SII Ice Cream Sandwich update. Last we heard, it was sometime soon and we’ve previously heard dates ranging from Q1 to March 1st. Now best-mobile-contracts have a confirmed date of March 19th, which is this coming Monday. They have a statement from Samsung which reads…
Samsung UK can confirm that the roll out of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on Galaxy S II will be available from week commencing 19th March, however the availability of software upgrades in the UK will be dependent upon each network’s own software approvals process.
..now of course, if you’ve got a network-branded device then you can expect to wait a little longer, but it’s promising news indeed. We’d love to hear from you when you get the official update.
