Picture the scene, your listening to music on your nice new Windows Phone. Let’s say a Lumia 800. Something happens and you have to stop listening to the music. From that moment onwards you are left with the blasted music on pause notification for the rest of the day. You either put up with it or turn your phone off.
Well this was me and my new Lumia the other week. At first I just thought I was doing it wrong. I tried every combination of pause and back or home, to no avail. I still had the pause thing on my lockscreen.
I did a bit of googling and found an app called “Stop the music”. It was exactly what I wanted. You run the app and it clear the paused music. It even adds itself to your music hub, so you can quickly clear the annoyance. You can even set up a live tile to stop the notification as well. It’s a great little tool that I’m pleased I found.
I realise that not everyone may get as annoyed with little things like that. But you may and this app would certainly be for you. It’s free as well, which is always a bonus.

that is superb – i thought it was only me getting annoyed with the pause notification! Thank you so much!!! 🙂
Back to the good old days of windows mobile then – needing third party apps to make the basic os do what it should do anyway! 🙂
