We have just had some hands on time thanks to Vodafone and Huawei with the Huawei Ascend G300. We can now announce that this handset will be exclusive to Vodafone. It will launch this FRIDAY on both Pay Monthly and PAYG plans either online, over the phone or in a retail store.
What is amazing is the price both companies have managed to arrange. The G300 will cost just £100 on PAYG or £15.50 a month on a Pay Monthly contract!
The Ascend G300 has the following specifications..
- Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread
- 4 inch WVGA Screen
- 2.5GB Storage
- 512MB RAM
- 1Ghz Processor
Leigh got some shots and hands on time in Barcelona, but here’s the Vodafone model in the flesh…
Joining Vodafone’s lime-up of Android smartphones, the Huawei Ascend G300 offers an exciting and great value for money addition, with it’s large 4 inch display to enhance the browsing, app and mobile entertainment experience.
Available exclusively at Vodafone for £100 on PAYG when bought with £10 top-up or free on a £15.50 a month, 24 month plan offering 100 Minutes, 500 Texts and 250MB of mobile data, the Huawei Ascend G300 presents a new standard of PAYG smartphone.
In addition to it’s 4 inch screen, great for video playback, it also has a fast 1Ghz processor, longer battery life and fast WiFi.
Running on Gingerbread (with Ice Cream Sandwich available later this summer), the Huawei Ascend G300 also packs a 5 megapixel camera, 2.5GB of internal memory (expandable to 32GB with a removable memory card) and weighs in at just 130g. The chrome and white finish makes it a great looking phone too

Look, it’s a original Google Nexus One without the trackball 🙂
It has retained the Google branding on the back!
Will you please stop saying it’s screen, it’s resolution etc. It’s is a shortened form of it is. It’s is possessive and means belonging to something or someone. If you don’t understand don’t use the word form
