One app that I have wanted for a while on Windows Phone was a way to track your data usage. As we are all aware our internet tariffs are not quite unlimited any more (unless your on one of those truly unlimited tariffs). We all have an upper limit to keep aware of be it 500mb, 750mb etc. On Android you can get a variety of apps that alert you when you approach this limit. But with Windows Phone you just have to constantly keep your fingers crossed.
Well prepare to uncross those fingers as it is rumoured that the next Lumia exclusive app will be a data tracker.
Here are some shots of it.
It also appears that this app will be able to track your minutes and text messages. As quite often they are limited as well. There is no release date yet for this app. But no doubt when it does appear I will let you know. I really hope Nokia keep up this development of apps for their devices. It really adds some extra value to them, the Nokia collection is certainly a useful asset.
Where would we be in the Windows Phone world without Nokia? Imagine where Windows Phone would be today if Nokia hadn’t moved across from Symbian.
not much use on t-mobile. My contract allows 500mb of downloads but unlimited browsing and email. No real way to separate them on any phone I know of…
